CIJM invites journalists to public debates about the campaign for presidential elections

Center for Investigative Journalism and Freedom House invite media representatives to a public debate on: „Transparent presidential elections: strengthening journalists’ skills to monitor the 2016 election campaign for presidential elections”.

During the event, participants will discuss practices in elections’ monitoring, documentation sources, interaction with electoral candidates and the Central Election Commission, topics for investigation and materials about elections, journalists' rights during the electoral campaign and the tools that can be used by press to detect fraud in elections.

The public debate will be held on Thursday, September 15, starting with 10.00, in the conference room  “Courtyard” (hotel „Codru”, 31 August Str., 127).

This event is organized by the Center for Investigative Journalism in partnership with Ziarul de Garda and the Center Analysis and Prevention of Corruption (CAPC) under the project „Shining a light on electoral Transparency in Moldova”, held with the support of Freedom House.

Deadline for registration: September 13. Number of participants is limited.  Transportation costs (round trip) for journalists outside Chisinau will be reimbursed.
